Contrary to my expectations, I was able to get some sleep last night, but I woke up to a continuation of the splitting headache I’ve had since yesterday. However, because of ABA attendance requirements, I resolved to get up and try to attend Legal Methods this morning, so I took a shower, some DayQuil, and threw on my white sweater (the one everyone likes). The DayQuil is hitting; there’s a certain pleasant contentedness radiating through my body, everything is fine right now. It’s almost certainly interacting with one of my meds, but I don’t really care.
There’s no LegReg today, God be praised. Today’s brunch is some falafel over rice from the cart across the street, although I’m eating it slowly. I’m starting to regain my sense of taste, which is nice. For a while, I had stopped enjoying food. I might head home after brunch, it’s a grey day and not at all suitable for a walk (certainly not without my coat), or I might go to the LRC and see if anyone’s there. I’m waiting to hear back from the MontCo Commissioner. I mean, I can’t remember if I said this in the midnight post, but he went to the same high school as me (MMI Class of ’05), and his dad delivered me into this world, so I think that’s significant enough to be a synchronicity.
Hobby-wise, it’s a popular and well-known fact that the Human Fighter™ is vanilla. Except no, actually. I decided to make some 5e (I know, I know) pregens, six human fighters, to demonstrate that there’s a lot of interesting stuff you can do with “vanilla”. I was gonna use them for running a game for my friends, but considering Kerry’s out of my life and Tessa’s missing in action, I’ll probably put a pin in them for later. I mean, you absolutely can run a game with just two players, but the vibes aren’t the same, y’know? The vibes haven’t been the same recently, they’ve been mad off fr. Also regarding the hobby, the 5.5e table doesn’t meet again until the 3rd of April; truly the tragedy of our age.
But right now, I’m fine. Really, I am. There’s a serious disconnect between my pleasant mood and everything that’s been going on. It should be eerie, maybe, but it isn’t? In any case, the headache’s gonna return with a vengeance once the DayQuil wears off (which should be in an hour or two), so maybe going back to Anova’s a smart choice. I wish the pool were open. Today may not be a good day for a walk, but it’s fine for a swim, chill aside.
